Alright guys, here’s today’s daily tips. Note that you’ll be spending a lot of time in Firefight and Campaign rather than matchmaking, so make sure to get back to work on the Weekly challenge afterwards.

Fire When Ready
Kill 50 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Worth: 1500cR

This one should be pretty easy to achieve while, unfortunately, not gaining progress on the of rest today’s challenges. Head into your favorite multiplayer Matchmaking and use all of your noob slaying abilities. Kill everything you see, and you should earn this in a few games.

A Friend in Need
Earn 10 assists in Firefight Matchmaking.
Worth: 1000cR

As always, work with a partner and play as generous as possible. Elites and Brutes are going to be your pray of choice. Let your partner get some headshot practice with the Magnum and DMR while you get to work taking shields down. Grunts and jackals are typically the least desired as they don’t really put up enough of a fight, so pick ‘em apart before tackling the elites.

Leadership Element
Kill 45 enemy leaders in the Campaign today.
Worth: 1100cR

The first step for this challenge is to hop into a local Campaign game and turn on the Thunderstorm skull to automatically promote all of the Elites to leader or above. I set the difficulty on Normal just so I can get it over with. If your all about your Spartan pride, then so be it, but Elite and Brute Heros are rather tough on Heroic and higher. Seeing that you have to kill 45 of these bad boys; Load up Sword Base and take out the every Elite with some classy DMR or Shotgun work. After you complete the level, you should have this challenge in the bag, if not, either load it up again or just continue on to Nightfall.

Flat Tire
Kill 10 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking.

This one is probably going to require a little more effort and patience then the rest of today’s challenges. Finding the right playlist is the real issue here. I’ve heard different opinions so far, but it sounds like a lot of you guys are really shying away form Firefight Limited rather than Score attack of some sort. It’s understandable seeing that the annoying kills stolen right before you gets old. So here’s your choices: Play enough games of Firefight Limited on Beachhead and Outpost, or Fiesta Attack on Holdout. The idea here is to get a high power weapon and completely destroy the Banshees, Ghosts, and Wraiths. It’s important to use a high power weapon (Spartan Laser or Rocket Launcher) because they will destroy the entire vehicle, rather than just killing the occupying enemy (as the Sniper Rifle and Fuel Rod Cannon do). Stick with it if you’re really set on getting this challenge completed.

Alright guys, here’s today’s daily tips. Today’s challenges are for the most part in Firefight Matchmaking, so plan on fighting Covies rather than noobs today.

Covenant-cide
Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking.
Worth: 1100cR

If you consider yourself a decent Halo player, this challenge should come without too much effort. Hop into Firefight Matchmaking and get to work with your favorite weapons. Stick with the little guys (grunts and jackals) and work on your headshots and nades. I like Gruntocolypse or any other score attack game for a high kill count like this one.

A Solid Outing
Earn at least 15 kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game.
Worth: 1500cR

I like Rumble pit for this challenge, but if you excel at another playlist, then by all means. If you do get in Rumble pit, take no prisoners. It’s rare for any player not to get at least 15 kills in a Rumble Pit slayer game. Grab a precision weapon and pick away at the weakened enemies around the map from a high point.

A Simple Spree
Earn any spree in Firefight Matchmaking game.
Worth: 1000cR

So this might be the easiest of today’s challenges, especially if you’re gung ho and like to shoot and ask questions later. My advice: kill 5 grunts and get it over with. If you’re a CQC kinda guy, then pummel 5 grunts and get it over with. If you’re a crackshot sniper, play from afar and snipe 5 grunts and get it over with. Hop in any Firefight Lobby and get to work.

Close Talking
Earn 100 kills with close quarters combat in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Worth: 1500cR

Allright we’re talking up close and personal today guys. CQC (Close Quarters Combat) is all about beatdowns, assassinations, and shotguns. With that being said, get your sword, hammer, or shotty out and hold it down for all day. If you’re lazy (like me), jump into the ever up close and and personal Grifball. It’s a given to slam at least 7 opponents in an average game of Grifball so get in there and D up!

Alright guys, here’s today’s daily tips. Today’s challenges are for the most part in Multiplayer Matchmaking, so plan on increasing that kill count for this week’s weekly challenge.

One Spartan Army
Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking.
Worth: 1125cR

Nothing complicated about this one. Jump into a matchmade Firefight game, grab your favorite weapon, and kill everything you see in traditional spartan fashion. Gruntocalypse or any other Score Attack game is usually pretty quick and easy. Pull out a sniper and practice on your noscoping and quick zooms.

Now I have a Machine Gun
Earn 30 kills with automatic weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Worth: 1250cR

If you consider yourself a decent Halo player, this challenge should come without an excessive effort. For those of you precision weapon fiends, take a different approach to your kills today. Drop your enemies’ shields with a melee first; yes it’s going to seem unorthodox but it works. Finish ‘em up with a few quick bursts from the AR.

Blast Radius
Kill 40 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with grenades.
Worth: 1000cR

This one can be tackled simultaneously with “One Spartan Army”. In Firefight, ammo (especially grenades) is abundant. Stretch out that arm and throw away. I also like to keep to tight corners and spaces and “trap-nade” enemies that are foolish enough to run into my fortress. Keep your aim on the grunts and jackals; those big bad elites are tough to take down with just one toss.

Un, Deux, Trois
Win 3 games in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Worth: 1450cR

This one is another one that should come pretty naturally. There’s not too much to achieving this challenge; Stick to your strategy, and focus on doing what it takes to get the “W”. Team work never hurt, especially with this challenge. It’s also just a fraction of the win count required for this week’s challenge: “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts”.

Total cR: 4825

Weekly Challenge: Clear Eyes, Full Hearts

Ok guys, so daily challenges come and go, typically pretty easily. However, Bungie’s recently thrown us a curveball and introduced the Weekly Challenges. This week’s challenge: Win 50 games in multiplayer Matchmaking this week.

HaloReachTips.net has your back on this one. We’re gonna tell you everything we can to help you walk away with this week’s cR reward in the bank.

The first thing you need to consider when tackling a big win count like this is to consider which of your Halo strengths can help you the most in this situation. Case in point: If GAMETIME2121 is a bit of a lone wolf and sees his top performances in Rumble Pit, then he probably shouldn’t try to reinvent the wheel and jump into Team Snipers. Find whatever playlist that you find yourself winning at least 60% of your matches. Unless you’re a god at rumble pit, you probably should avoid gametypes that result in ties. I know few players really get their Halo fix out of sacrificing their K/D ratio fot the win, but it’s the ideal gameplan for this challenge. Which brings me to my next point of advice: Team Work.

Second word of advice: focus on your objective. This week’s objective: win. This means, of course, that you shouldn’t focus on other objectives. An example: NoobSkyWalker123 is set on getting an insane kill count. Unfortunately, his boys are playing Team Objective, and his trigger happy ways won’t exactly come into play in CTF. Keep your eye on the prize ponyboy if you really want to cross this one off your checklist. You MLG pros know exactly how annoying it is when you get that one guy who refuses to play with the team, and wanders off, leaving fresh bait for your opponents. Play to win, not to brag.

Last tip: Dedication to the sport. This challenge is a little aimed towards the true Halo geeks out there, but that shouldn’t scare you away. Most gamers out there average around 6-9 wins a session anyway, so this one shouldn’t be too hard to achieve. However, you are going to have to buckle down a little bit. Maybe your girlfriend or boyfriend (again for those of you who have them) can hang out with their friends a couple times this week. Your sacrifice will pay off.

Ok, Recap time.

1) Play to your strengths. Use your favorite weapon, and take no risks that could hurt your team’s chances of victory. For those of you objective fans, play your role and play it well so your team has no reason for losing.

2) Focus! Don’t catch yourself running around for a good kill count every game, instead of holding down the flag for a round or two.

3) Stick with it! Crack down and get a good session every day this week. Consider yourself part of project WIN!

That’s all the advice we got for ya, now get out there and noscope somebody!

Alright guys, here’s today’s daily tips. Today’s challenges are for the most part in Multiplayer Matchmaking, so plan on increasing that kill count for this week’s weekly challenge.

Light Fare
Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach.
Worth: 1000cR

Nothing complicated about this one. Jump into any Reach game, grab your favorite weapon, and kill everything you see in traditional spartan fashion. Pull out a sniper and practice on your noscoping and quick zooms. Look to set a good K/D ratio for today, and don’t put too much effort into this one as it’s likely to come as you achieve today’s other challenges.

T-Hug It Out
Kill 7 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game.
Worth: 1400cR

Allright we’re talking up close and personal today guys. CQC (Close Quarters Combat) is all about beatdowns, assassinations, and shotguns. With that being said, get your sword, hammer, or shotty out and hold it down for 7 kills. If you’re lazy (like me), jump into the ever up close and and personal Grifball. It’s a given to slam at least 7 opponents in an average game of Grifball so get in there and D up!

Light Fuse, Run Away
Kill 4 enemies with grenades in a multiplayer Matchmaking game.
Worth: 1000cR

This one’s pretty simple; Toss and cover your ears! I like Rumble pit for this challenge but others prefer Elite Slayer as grenades pack a little more kick. If you do get in Rumble pit, tight corners and walkways are your friends. Don’t be afraid to toss a hot one into a group of battling foes and try to score a couple multikills with a frag or two.

Double Nickels
Earn 2 Killing Sprees in a multiplayer Matchmaking game.
Worth: 1500cR

So this might be the toughest of today’s challenges, especially if you’re gung ho and like to shoot and ask questions later. My advice: adopt a strategy. If you’re a CQC kinda guy, then hold down a small room or area. If you’re a crackshot sniper, play from afar but don’t get too zoom happy that you forget to check your surroundings. Play stingy until you rake in the 1500cR for this one.

Alright guys, here’s today’s daily tips. Today’s challenges are for the most part in Multiplayer Matchmaking, so plan on increasing that kill count for this week’s weekly challenge.

Shootin’ and Lootin’
Kill 250 enemies in any game mode in Reach.
Worth: 1875cR

Nothing complicated about this one. Jump into any Reach game, grab your favorite weapon, and kill everything you see in traditional spartan fashion. Pull out a sniper and practice on your noscoping and quick zooms. Look to set a good K/D ratio for today, and don’t put too much effort into this one as it’s likely to come as you achieve today’s other challenges.

Hyper Lethal Vector
Kill 150 enemies with headshots in Firefight Matchmaking
Worth: 1125cR

If you consider yourself a decent Halo player, this challenge should come without too much effort. Hop into Firefight Matchmaking and get to work with your precision weapons. For those of you automatic fiends, take a different approach to your kills today. Drop your enemies’ shields with your primary, and line up a headshot with a DMR or Needle rifle.

Demon
Kill 50 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking
Worth: 1500cR

This one’s pretty simple and can easily be accomplished while you’re working on the Hyper Lethal Vector Challenge. There’s no designated difficulty for this challenge so unless your all about pride keep it on normal and bring those big alien freaks to their knees! Separate Elites as best you can, because they can be quite the hassel in groups.

…And Recreation
Kill 150 enemies on Beachhead on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking.
Worth: 1125cR

Ok, this one’s gonna be tough, because it requires the game to be set on Heroic. Load up Beachhead and equip the Jetpack or Dropshield depending on your style. Head to the top level of the base and patrol the deck from a far with a sniper or DMR. Try to keep enemies from making it up the walkway or to the upper deck. If they do, make sure you clean them out before you get surrounded. Keep at it and after a few matches you should rake in the 1125cR.

This is My Rifle
Earn 20 kills with precision weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Worth: 1000cR

If you consider yourself a decent Halo player, this challenge should come without a specific effort. For those of you automatic fiends, take a different approach to your kills today. Drop your enemies’ shields with your primary, and line up a headshot with a DMR or Needle rifle.

Freelancing
Earn at least 23 kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game.
Worth: 2300cR

This one can be particularly difficult because it must be completed in a single game. It’s going to be the most difficult of today’s challenges for those of you guys who play at a controlled pace and are very K/D ratio aware, as you most likely see less kills and a lot less deaths. Depending on your playing style and the playlist you play, it’s usually going to require a little more gung ho than usual. My favorite for these types of challenges is Rumble pit, because of it’s opportunity to rack up a large amount of kills each game. My advice, spend less time camping and watching your death count, and more time roaming the map for stragglers and weakened enemies.

Un, Deux, Trois
Win 3 games in multiplayer Matchmaking.

Weapon Swap
Earn 10 sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game on Heroic or harder.
Worth: 1000cR

As always, work with a partner and play as cautious as possible, as Heroic can result in a number of deaths if you get too gung-ho. Grunts and jackals are going to be your pray of choice. Get some headshot practice with the Magnum and DMR. Grunts and jackals are typically the least strategic as far as cover, so pick them apart before tackling the elites, which can be a challenge in some cases. There are typically 5+ support grunts and jackals per engagement so consider every battle an opportunity to get a spree.

A Heroic Breach
Kill 100 enemies on Corvette on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking.
Worth: 1000cR

This one can be particularly difficult because it must be completed on Heroic. Storm through the mission until you get to the Corvette that drops hordes of troops. A well placed grenade should rid of the grunts and jackals prior to their landing. Just make sure to kill the elites as the arrive; they can be a serious hassle when you allow them to run around too much and when they’re in multiples. I like to equip the DMR as my primary, and the Shotgun as my secondary. Use the the DMR to pick away at the pods that are far away and make your way closer to blast the elites and stubborn grunts with the shotgun. This effectively helps you gain progress with the last daily challenge The T.G. Opposition.

The T.G. Opposition
Kill 70 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the Shotgun.

This one is probably going to require a little more effort and patience then the rest of today’s challenges. Distance is the key here obviously due to the shotguns limited range. The shotgun does seem to have a bit more range of effectiveness in Firefight than it does in Multiplayer Matchmaking. Run through the little guys as much as you can as they don’t match up very well with the shotgun, but carefully stalk elites because getting too close can be fatal. Although a melee attack immediately after each shot is pretty natural to most players, it’s going to have to the other way around for this challenge. Get close quarters with jackals and elites and give them a sharp blow before unloading a shell from the shotgun.

Total cR: 4350

Back in the swing of things, how is the Halo going guys?

Blastin’ and Relaxin’
Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach.
Worth: 1350cR

This is the easiest 1350cR you will ever earn. Head into a local custom Firefight game and use the game settings that you use to earn the firefight achievements (unlimited health, bottomless clip, etc). Kill everything you see, and you should earn this super fast.

A Friend in Need
Earn 10 assists in Firefight Matchmaking.
Worth: 1000cR

As always, work with a partner and try to get your hands on a sniper rifle. As weird as it seems, tell your PARTNER to aim for the head. Start droping shields with body shots and have your teamate finish him off with a head shot. As difficult as it may be, don’t finish kills once you drop shields unless it is going to result in you dying. Hope for a teammate to finish the kill for you. Remember, you’re trying to get assists, not kills right now.

Short Controlled Bursts
Kill 100 enemies with automatic weapons in the Campaign today.
Worth: 1000cR

This one won’t be too bad to complete. Storm through a mission that is heavily defended with Covenant, preferably grunts and jackals, with your favorite weapon. Just make sure the kill is finished with an automatic weapon. I like to equip the Plasma repeater as my primary, and the Assault Rifle as my secondary. Use the Plasma Repeater’s excellent shield dropping ability to soften up your enemies and finish ‘em off with a couple short controlled bursts from the Assault Rifle.

Headshot Honcho
Kill 11 enemies with headshots in a multiplayer Matchmaking game.

This one is probably going to come naturally with a typical session. Precision weapons are key here, as they’re all about headshots. Stray away from the Needle Rifle as it often results in a kill without a solid headshot. Sniping is good too, because if you miss your first 2 shots for the head, a pretty good player can usually still rake in the kill.

Total cR: 4670

Weekly Challenge: Kill 1500 Enemies in Matchmaking

Ok guys, so daily challenges come and go, typically pretty easily. However, Bungie’s recently thrown us a curveball and introduced the Weekly Challenges. This week’s challenge: Kill 1500 Enemies in Multiplayer Matchmaking this week.

Now, I know what you guys are probably thinking right now; “What the F***?!” I have to say I agree, 1500 Enemies in a week does seem like a daunting task. However, don’t put down your controller and hide under your couch just yet.

HaloReachTips.net has your back on this one. We’re gonna tell you everything we can to help you walk away with this week’s cR reward in the bank.

The first thing you need to consider when tackling a massive kill count like this is to consider which of your Halo strengths can help you the most in this situation. Case in point: If GAMETIME2121 is a bit of a lone wolf and sees his top performances in Rumble Pit, then he probably shouldn’t try to reinvent the wheel and jump into Team Snipers. Find whatever playlist that you find yourself averaging 11+ kills per game. Unless you’re a god at doubles, you probably should avoid gametypes with a small number of players that you can kill. I know few players really get their Halo fix out of Rumble pit, but it’s the ideal gametype for this challenge. With the top three players usually having well over 15 kills, you don’t necessarily have to win to gain a significant kill count. Plus, if you are a BAMF in Rumble Pit, You’ll see games of 25 kills pretty often.

Second word of advice: focus on your objective. This week’s objective: kill more enemies than Leonitas in 300. This means, of course, that you shouldn’t focus on other objectives. An example: NoobSkyWalker123 says he really want’s to earn the cR for the All in a Week’s Work challenge, but has been playing Team Snipers and relentlessly dropping opponent’s sheilds so his boys can clean them up. This might gain him the 1000cR for the A Friend in Need Challenge, but 10 kills and 11 assists isn’t going to cut it for this week’s Challenge. Keep your eye on the prize ponyboy if you really want to cross this one off your checklist.

Last tip: Dedication to the sport. This challenge is a little aimed towards the true Halo geeks out there, but that shouldn’t scare you away. Most gamers out there average around 900-1100 kills a week anyway, increasing your destruction by 50% isn’t going to require quitting your job (for those of you who have them). However, you are going to have to buckle down a little bit. Maybe your girlfriend or boyfriend (again for those of you who have them) can hang out with their friends a couple times this week. Your sacrifice will pay off.

Ok, Recap time.

1) Play to your strengths. Use your favorite weapon, and take no prisoners. For those of you objective fans, play the least important role so your team doesn’t mind you getting your kill face on.

2) Focus! Don’t catch yourself racking up assists or sacrificing a good kill count every game for a melee challenge.

3) Stick with it! Crack down and get a good session every day this week. Consider yourself part of project Mass Pwn!

That’s all the advice we got for ya, now get out there and noscope somebody!
