When the Halo: Reach Beta was released many glitches and bugs were released with it. Below is a list of glitches and bugs that are in the beta. All of them have already been addressed by Bungie and fixed for the fall release of the game.
The Announcer repeating himself over and over…..and over…
We all know that awesome voice constantly yelling “Flag taken, Flag dropped, Flag taken, Flag dropped” when you have a guy of skill drop running the flag from Halo 3 and now in the Halo: Reach beta. The developers at Bungie have said that it is already fixed for the release this fall and the announcer will only say it once in capture the flag and most other objective type games.
Stockpile team thievery
Are you tired of going out and collecting flags in stockpile to suddenly find out your teammate that is “guarding” them has picked up and dropped them, thus leaving you with a score of zero? Well this problem has been addressed and will be patched and ready to go in the fall. The new patch is going to help the hard workers get credit for the capture leaving the ones who “guard” be the true guards. Time to let your skills shine flag runners, show the world what you can do.
Where am I getting shot from?
Ever wonder where the shot is coming from? The damage indicators were almost nonexistent and still are but will be fixed for the fall.
Double beat down FTW
In the beta, beat downs have been numerous and sometimes out of control. Bungie has found the problem in two areas of the beat down. Double beat down or what Bungie refers to as “Clang”, and a glitch that makes a melee attack usable within half a second of using the first one.
Clang occurs when two players beat down for the final blow at the same time thus killing both of them. Bungie has already worked this bug out of the game for fall by getting rid of the amount of time that can pass between killing blow melees. If you have been relying on your melee attack to save you in the beta then be prepared to learn to use a weapon when the game releases.
Ghostly Figures
Notice any miscues on objects? This problem only affects a certain number of players but can be distracting and will be fixed in the final game.
Grenade Power
Most of us have noticed the power that the grenade brings to the fight. Unlike what a lot of us want to believe, it is not a one hit kill if placed perfectly. Now if the health is down and shield is up it can kill you with one mighty explosion. The grenades are different from Halo 3 and for good reason, it is a different game. The blast radius is larger and affects your health more. However, the overall damage dealing power will be nerfed, although how much hasn’t been said just yet.
These are a couple glitches that needed to be fixed and thanks to players in the beta, the issues have been addressed.
